One of the best ways to support mission work is to be a fundraiser. Not only do fundraisers raise much need funds to help build God’s kingdom, but they also make a massive statement that Mission is important to you and your church. You are able to inform people of prayer needs, inspire people to serve as missionaries, and encourage missionaries in Africa as they hear of your efforts.
We think the best way to do fundraising is to tap into something you already love doing, or by giving yourself a challenge. Below are three ideas to get you going:
Show off your culinary skillsHost a coffee morning or barbecue. Have some friends over for a curry. Host a ‘Come Dine With Me’ event or dress as your favourite sleuth at a murder mystery dinner. |
|
Get your heart racingThrow yourself out of a plane, or throw some shapes at a zumbathon. Cycle cross–country, or just feel like you have at a spinathon. Run, trek, walk, swim until you can’t go anymore. |
|
Give your timeBag pack at your local supermarket. Run a car wash. Walk your neighbours’ dogs or tidy their gardens (Remember to tell them first). Get sponsored to clean up your street. |
