- In 1887, God challenged Samuel Bill from Belfast, Northern Ireland about those who had never heard the Gospel in the Qua Iboe region of Nigeria. Without backing or promised funding, Samuel put his life in God’s hands and left for Nigeria.
- God used this ordinary man and many others since to do extraordinary things for His glory and to make His name great where it was previously unknown.
- When the name changed from Qua Iboe Mission to Qua Iboe Fellowship, this reflected the deep conviction to do mission with nationals rather than to them. As God continued to bless those serving Him and led them into unreached areas of Nigeria and then other countries, we changed our name to Mission Africa.
- Just as Samuel Bill sought to make the name of Jesus great when He was called so we still exist ‘to partner with local churches and ministries in Africa to obey Christ's command to reach the lost with the Good News of Jesus, demonstrate His love and make disciples.'
- Mission Africa remains committed to pioneering evangelism through working with our African partners to reach the unreached with Gospel.
